Preschool Circle Time: Let's Get Ready for Kindergarten! (Meets Once a Week)
In this once-a-week preschool circle time, learners will meet new friends, practice the alphabet, numbers, shapes, the weather, days of the week, months of the year, and more! The class will always end with a show and tell!

In this once a week 30-minute, ongoing class, Mrs. Rachel will lead a fun, engaging, and interactive circle time. This class runs on a 26 week rotation so jump in whenever! Circle time allows learners to socialize and practice basic skills they will need to begin kindergarten. Circle time is a fun learning-filled time where we will work on the following activities:
Outline for circle time-
1. Introduction - name and ages of our friends
2. What's the Weather?
* We will pick one weather friend each class to help Mr. Weather Sloth get dressed for the day!
3. Calendar Skills
* days of the week song
* months of the year song
* seasons of the year
4. Guided review of colors with flashcards
* We will also play a color game finding out what colors our friends are wearing.
4. Guided singing of ABC's with flashcards
* We will also have a letter of the week and will practice making the sound of our special letter along with thinking of some words that start with our letter of the week.
5. Guided counting of 1-20 with flashcards

Learners will improve their letter name and sound as well as shape recognition. They will learn the days of the week, months of the year and the seasons of the year. Learners will practice good listening skills during weather time and share time. We will also practice taking turns during weather time and share time. This circle time is great practice for in person classroom expectations.
