In this class we will be learning and working on various pre-school skills mentioned above. This live class occurs daily to give your learners the structure and consistency they crave. Preschoolers will be learning about the world around them through hands-on activities. From mastering the letters of the alphabet to gross motor and sensory play, my goal is to give them a sense and feel of being in a physical pre-school. MONDAY: collage materials (may be anything you have at home or can find at the dollar store: beads, feathers, pipe cleaners, button, sequins) glue stick word printable (to be sent before class) TUESDAY: printable ten frame cards (to be sent before class) small manipulatives in various colors (may be mini erases, pompoms, fruit loops, counting chips) WEDNESDAY: paint (red, blue and yellow) white construction paper or cardstock painters tape or masking tape construction paper in pink and black googly eyes (can be found at the dollar store) glue printable (to be sent before class) small manipulatives in various colors (may be mini erases, pompoms, fruit loops, counting chips) THURSDAY: colored construction paper scissors crayons coffee filters red, blue and yellow washable markers water cup dropper FRIDAY: 3x5 note cards clean and small empty water bottle food coloring canola oil clear corn syrup or water yellow crayon funnel spatula
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
2 hours 30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parental guidance may be needed for the use of scissors and cutting paper in class. There will also be other pre-school activities that require and adult to assist, just as there would be in a physical pre-school set up.
Please note that it is not required to purchase the books below. It simply aids them in connecting with the lessons as they have something familiar to associate with. You may borrow these from your local library as they are very popular children's books. I will be sharing these books during class.
