Description

Class Experience

In this one-time class we will use rhymes, songs and stories as we work on counting from 1 to 10 using the construction site theme. I like to start with a little welcome song, and a few action songs to get children participating. We will do an activity together loading up my dump truck with different amounts from 1 to 10, and finish with a wonderful rhyming counting story. Children will learn and practice counting from 1 to 10. This class will also support their language and literacy development through the use of songs, stories, and rhymes.

This is a free printable I am using for the class. Parents may wish to print it off an encourage child to fill their dump trucks with different amounts of rocks, sticks, other manipulative, or use it for play dough play as suggested in the post.

30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

Play dough may contain wheat, which could cause an allergic reaction if ingested in those sensitive to wheat gluten or with Celiac disease.
