Class Experience

Children ages 4-6 gather together for this fun Fall-themed circle time all about Apples!

Circle Time Lesson Breakdown:

1) Welcome Song
Gather together as we sing our welcome song. During the song, each child's name will be sung to welcome and thank them for coming to class. When we know everyone's names, we will sing a silly song to get up, get moving and shake those wiggles out.

2) Calendar Skills
Review the days of the week, the month, the year and practice identifying the date on a real calendar. We will discuss the weather of the day and each child will have a turn to tell what the weather is like where they live.

3) Counting Skills
Practice counting numbers (1 to 10) forwards and backwards using the calendar and/or apples.

4) Letter Sound Skills
Sing a song for the letter of the day "A" for Apple, and review the sound it makes, "ah, ah, ah".

5) Surprise Box
Sing the surprise box song and find out what is inside the surprise box today! Each surprise box for this class will include a fun learning activity all about apples.

All classes will END by singing our Goodbye Song and clapping with lots of encouragement and praise for the hard work accomplished in class.
