What's included
1 live meeting
45 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
We will learn a secular Christmas song such as Jingle Bells or Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer which we will sing a few times throughout the class to help with memory. We will vote on a Christmas story, from the list below, for the teacher to read. Then the teacher will ask comprehension questions to ensure understanding. We will take turns talking and sharing our thoughts about the story. We will also work on a simple craft making a Christmas tree decoration. This helps the children develop fine motor skills as well as learning to follow directions.
Learning Goals
Students will work on being a good listener to their peers and the teacher, improving fine motor skills through a craft, developing language and vocabulary through a song, learn about voting, and practice listening comprehension with our story.
Other Details
Parental Guidance
I always love when parents attend with their children when possible. Though only students should be speaking during the class to improve communication skills.
Supply List
Paper: one white full sheet, one green full sheet, and any other colors as wanted for decoration Glue: either a glue stick OR a small amount of glue in a small disposable container and a q-tip Note: We will be tearing paper, not using scissors. The same muscles used to tear paper are later used in properly holding and controlling a pencil. This is an educational decision.
