Description

Class Experience

This is a one time class to draw lines of all kids! Crazy lines, short lines, fat lines, straight lines, loopy lines as you create a colorful picture as we learn about one of the Elements of Art and Design called Line! In this class we will talk about the different kinds of lines – straight, angled, curly. I will introduce the words horizontal (when a line runs side to side, like the horizon), vertical (when a line runs up and down) and diagonal (when a line runs on an angle).

To introduce students to the vocabulary words: horizontal, vertical, and diagonal.
To give students the opportunity to paint with many colors within the boundaries of the lines they create.

Heavy Paper 12″ x 18″ or approx size
black permanent marker
bright colored  washable markers
pencil

35 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

We will be using a permanent black marker and washable markers parents need to be near to help with supplies!
