In this one-time class, learners will be able to show the class something special to them! Learners will practice speaking to others, listening, and taking turns. Learners will practice asking and answering questions like "Where did you get this?" "Is it heavy?" Our class will start with everyone saying hello and saying their names. I will then give clues as to what I brought with me to class and see if they can guess the item! After that, the class will take turns listening and talking...
Students will gain confidence talking to others, learn how to listen and be patient while waiting for their turn.
I have experience as a preschool teachers aid, I have been a Girl Scout leader, and have taught almost 800 ESL lessons to students as young as 2 to adult, as well as taught art lessons to children ages 3-17. I am also a mother of three!
Learners just need to bring something to share with the class.
20 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
