Class Experience
In this ongoing class, we will practice recognizing the different letters/sounds in the alphabet. We will then practice segmenting the different sounds we hear in words to build the learner's phonological awareness. This will help the student be more prepared to read. During each class, we will play a letter practice game that allows students to truly master their letters. We will then practice identifying the different sounds in words we hear. Student will be able to recall the different sounds they hear in a given word. Student will also be able to identify and state the different letters in the alphabet.
I recommend students try to find the words we are learning in other writings. This helps them better learn the information.
24 hours before class teacher will post the weeks target story. Student will have the opportunity to print it off and do it along with the teacher. If you do not have a printer, the student can just follow along with the teacher digitally. Please have your child bring a dry erase board and marker
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
