Class Experience

US Grade Preschool - 1
Welcome to an inclusive, loving, and FUN circle time class! This class is perfect for any learner who is ready to build foundational skills, homeschoolers, or those who may benefit from a fun way to review over the summer to avoid losing learned skills over the summer break. Many different learning styles and modes will be incorporated in every single class meeting. Weekly themes will be utilized to incorporate high-interest learning and keep learners excited for each and every week! Lessons will include music, movement, fingerplays, chants, rhymes, drawing, sharing, and more! Lessons will be taught using props, posters, visuals, and some (limited) slides so that students will get the most interaction with real-world people and learning possible. Each meeting of this class is able to be taken on its own, so join us when you can, or attend for the whole summer!

This is a full curriculum class, so a wide variety of subjects and skills will be covered. We will begin each class with a greeting and a share time, then dive into our learning activities. Every class will consist of: a mini-lesson/review, a game, and a brief show and tell. This class is meant to review concepts and skills in fun ways, but your child does not need to have mastered these before taking this class. The general schedule for skills and concepts covered is listed below. Each child will be welcomed to participate in many ways throughout the meeting. This is a good fit for those heading into K or 1st grade, looking for an intro to skills or a review before heading to the next level.

Some of the skills we will target include:
-Letter names, sounds, and formation
-Foundational reading skills
