Welcome to preschool! In this preschool flex class, we will be learning about fall! Each week will focus on a different theme as noted below! Each will will include a story, craft and song, as well as some learning activities that you can choose to complete with your child! **Preschoolers learn best through play with hands-on activities and materials, therefore most of my learning activities will require some prep of printing/cutting materials.** **THIS IS A FLEXIBLE CLASS, THERE WILL NOT BE...
Throughout the duration of this flex class, students will: -learn about many different concepts of fall: leaves, acorns, squirrels, pumpkins, Halloween, weather changes, fall clothing, etc. -listen to stories and use comprehension skills -use gross and fine motor skills through activities -use listening & direction following skills to complete crafts and learning activities -use craft materials safely and appropriately -gain or maintain knowledge of the alphabet, numbers, counting, shapes and colors through learning activities
Each week there will be items to print out for your learner to use. They will be uploaded to the classroom page each week. **Preschoolers learn best through play with hands-on activities and materials, therefore most of my learning activities will require some basic prep of printing/cutting materials.** Specific materials needed for each week (in addition to printed items): Week 1: *Construction paper: white, brown, red, yellow, orange *Crayons *Scissors *Glue *Leaves *White copy paper Week 2: *construction paper: tan & brown *acorns *pencil *paint *box/tray to paint in Week 3: *Paper plate *Orange paint *Construction paper: Brown, green, black *Pencil *Glue *Scissors *Mini pumpkins (or a large one) *playdoh Week 4: *Construction paper: black *Cotton balls *Pencil *Crayons *Glue **If there are any materials that you don't have or are not able to obtain, please message me for substitution ideas!**
Some crafts and/or learning activities will require the use of scissors, glue, paint, crayons, etc. Parental guidance is recommended when using these items to ensure safety. Some weeks will also involve basic gross motor activities (like Simon Says). Adequate space is needed for these activities. Parental guidance is suggested to ensure your learner is participating in the activity safely.
