In this class, students will review math concepts they were taught in sixth grade. In each class there will be a brief review, then we will practice problems together. After, students will be asked to do problems independently. Topics taught throughout this course will include multiplication, division, fractions, algebra, exponents, and graphing. Students will be able to multiply multi-digit numbers. Students will be able to multiply multi-digit numbers with decimals. Students will be able to divide. Students will be able to divide and get a decimal remainder. Students will be able to accurately solve division problems with decimals in the dividend. Students will be able to divide numbers with decimals by numbers with decimals. Students will be able to solve a division problem with a two-digit divisor. Students will be able to convert improper fractions to mixed numbers. Students will be able to convert mixed numbers to improper fractions. Students will be able to add and subtract fractions with like denominators. Students will be able to add and subtract fractions with unlike denominators. Students will be able to multiply fractions and mixed numbers. Students will be able to divide fractions and fractions with mixed numbers. Students will be able to convert decimals to fractions. Students will be able to convert fractions to decimals. Students will be able to solve using exponents. Students will be able to use PEMDAS to solve math problems. Students will learn and be able to apply math properties necessary for Algebra. Students will be able to plug numbers into expressions. Students will be able to solve equations.

Students will not have homework. I will sometimes post optional worksheets with answers. These are created after class to meet the needs of the students.Assessments Offered

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Google Docs, Google Drive, and Google Slides will be used by students. Students do not need a Google account to use. This is often used in activities where students have to move items around and I want to see their answers.
