In this 2-week intensive math summer boot camp class, we will be reviewing all of the following concepts learned in Precalculus that will help students prepare for taking AP Calculus AB. To succeed in this class, it is best for students to have completed a full year of Precalculus. Week 1 - functions, factoring, trigonometry, rational expressions, lines, average rate of change Week 2 - exponents, logarithms, composite and inverse functions, graphing, polynomials, miscellaneous topics Each lesson will be taught through slides while students take down notes in their notebooks. We will discuss each concept as it arises to make sure all students understand and ask questions that they may have. The slides will also include examples that we will work through together. Students are encouraged to share their problem solving strategies with the class as we work through example problems. If we finish the class material early, I will give students an assessment through Khan Academy to review the concepts we have covered. If we have additional time before the course ends, I will start to go over some AP Calculus AB topics.
