Description
Class Experience
Students will review calendar math (days of the week, months of the year, number of days), practice Pre k-Kindergarten math skills, study a weekly focus letter (the letter name, the letter sound, and how to write the letter), begin early reading & literacy skills, have a weekly time of show-and-tell (they are not obligated to participate, but are encouraged to share), & more! **Please refer to the scope and sequence of this class in the 'Course Description' to see if you feel your learner is ready for the skills covered each week. You will be updated weekly with the learning goals and activities for the week :) .
There is no official homework. However, your child is encouraged to practice the skills of the week (you're welcome to print multiple copies of my attachments for additional practice), and choose something for show and tell during the last meeting each week.
*Printer: You will need to print & be sure your child has the weekly attachments for class, and crayons or markers to write and color with. *I include weekly attachments that you will need to print for your learner. You will see these attachments in the classroom with instructions. *Sometimes scissors/glue-stick are needed--if so, this will be notated in the classroom with the weekly attachments. Also, if your child wants to participate in show & tell on the last day of class each week, be sure they have something to share with their friends during that portion of class :) .
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
2 hours 20 minutes per week in class, and no time outside of class.
