Class Experience

US Grade Preschool - 5
🌟 Welcome to Math Mastery Tutoring: Personalized Math Success for Traditional and Homeschool Students! 🌟

Are you looking for expert math support tailored to your child’s unique needs? Whether your child needs extra help with schoolwork, enrichment to go beyond their current curriculum, or a consistent math teacher for homeschooling, this one-on-one tutoring class is designed just for them!

📚 What We’ll Do Together

In this personalized class, I’ll work with your child to:
- Build confidence in math through engaging, targeted lessons.
- Provide additional support for students in traditional schools, focusing on homework, skill-building, or catching up on missed concepts.
- Serve as your homeschool student’s primary math teacher, offering a full, comprehensive math curriculum aligned with grade-level standards.
- Create a custom learning plan based on an initial assessment (optional) or your child’s specific goals and needs.

🌟 For Homeschool Families:
If your child is homeschooled, I can provide a full term of math instruction tailored to their pace, learning style, and academic goals. Lessons will be structured, consistent, and designed to help your child grow and succeed throughout the school year.

📋 Topics We Can Cover (PreK - 5th Grade):
- Number recognition, counting, and place value
- Addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division fact fluency
- Fractions, decimals, and early geometry concepts
- Problem-solving and critical thinking strategies
- Customized lessons to match your child’s learning journey

🎯 Why This Class is Perfect for Your Child

This flexible tutoring option is ideal for:
- Traditional Students: Whether your child needs short-term help, ongoing tutoring, or enrichment beyond what’s taught in school, I can tailor lessons to support their growth.
- Homeschool Families: As a dedicated math teacher, I’ll provide a structured curriculum, consistent instruction, and regular updates to keep you informed about your child’s progress.

🔍 How It Works

- Assessment (Optional): I can assess your child’s current math level to create a personalized plan.
- Customized Lessons: Each session is designed to target your child’s unique strengths and areas for improvement.
- Flexible Options: Choose short-term, long-term, or full-year instruction, depending on your family’s needs.

💡 Engaging and Fun Learning

Math doesn’t have to feel overwhelming or boring! I use hands-on activities, interactive games, and real-world examples to make learning math exciting and effective. Examples include:
- Math games to boost fluency and confidence.
- Visual models and manipulatives to deepen understanding.
- Real-world problems to show how math connects to everyday life.

🏆 What Your Child Will Gain

- Confidence and enthusiasm for math.
- Mastery of key math concepts, from foundational skills to advanced problem-solving.
- A strong academic foundation to support future learning.
- A positive, engaging learning experience that meets their individual needs.

🌟 Ready to help your child succeed in math? Let’s work together to support their growth, confidence, and love for learning—whether they’re in a traditional school setting or homeschooling!

Important Note: After booking, I will reach out to gather details about your child’s specific needs and goals for our first session. If I do not receive a response at least 24 hours before the scheduled session, the initial meeting will focus on assessing your child’s current math skills and engaging with them to determine the best plan for future lessons. This ensures we can tailor our sessions to meet your child’s unique needs effectively.

Parental Guidance
In this class, we may occasionally use Nearpod or Kahoot to make learning more engaging. Students will NOT need an account to access these activities. When appropriate for specific math skills AND with prior parent approval, we may work with real-life scenarios (like cooking) to help relate the math to their everyday life. If we agree to complete these types of activities, a parent or guardian will need to be close by to ensure all necessary safety precautions are in place.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Tennessee Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education
With seven years of experience teaching elementary math, I have developed a strong expertise in helping young learners build foundational math skills. For three years, I taught in-person in a traditional classroom, working directly with students to make math concepts accessible and engaging. Over the past four years, I have transitioned to online teaching, where I’ve honed my skills in creating interactive, virtual lessons that capture students' attention and keep them motivated.

I specialize in teaching addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and place value, tailoring lessons to meet individual learning styles and needs. My experience includes working with students who thrive in traditional or virtual settings and those who benefit from creative, game-based learning approaches.

Beyond teaching math, I have extensive experience working with children in various capacities, ensuring I create a supportive, fun, and engaging environment where students feel confident to take risks and succeed. Whether in-person or online, my goal is to help every child develop a love for math and achieve their full potential.
