Welcome to Precalculus! In this course, we embark on an exciting journey through the fundamental principles of mathematics that serve as the gateway to higher-level mathematical thinking. Precalculus serves as a bridge between the concrete concepts of algebra and the abstract realms of calculus, providing students with the tools and techniques they need to tackle complex mathematical problems with confidence. Throughout this condensed summer course, students will delve into various topics, including functions, equations, and trigonometry, while honing their problem-solving skills and mathematical reasoning abilities. The class experience is designed to be interactive and collaborative, fostering a supportive learning environment where students can explore, question, and discover at their own pace. This class will be especially useful for students who will take Calculus in the fall semester. By the end of this course, you will have developed a solid foundation in precalculus, equipped with the skills and knowledge you need to excel in calculus and beyond. So, get ready to embark on a journey of exploration, discovery, and mathematical mastery. Welcome to Precalculus!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! I am Dr. Wang! I have a Ph.D. degree in Aeronautical Engineering from a top school in the United States. I have 10+ years of experience teaching classes to college students and high school students. I enjoy teaching STEM subjects to students of all ages. I especially focus on two subjects: Math and Physics. Class topics range from AP Physics C and Calculus BC to Honor Physics and Algebra. I teach with a lot of visual cues and graphing examples because I think those are always extremely helpful for students to understand different concepts. I am a super soccer fan. Nice to meet you all!
