Many people know the phrase "We the People" and it's association with the Constitution, but the real importance of the Preamble to the Constitution is what follows. In this activity, we will read the Preamble, define and understand its words, and find examples of the goals in the Preamble in the news or provisions of the Constitution. This is a basic introduction to the Preamble and its importance to our society, so little knowledge of the Constitution or US government is necessary.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
