Students Will Be Able To (SWBAT):
- simplify and evaluate algebraic expressions using numerical substitutions.
- create a solutions table for variables x,y in simple linear equations
- plot coordinates (points) on a coordinate grid
- demonstrate the connection of linear equations to points on a line on a coordinate grid
- plot coordinates and lines using rise and run
- Find the slope of a line using a graph
- Create a line using x and y intercepts

Practice Pages will be available.
0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Informal assessment will be done as a check for understanding.  Students will be given an entry problem and an exit problem to solve using the technique taught and the ability to demonstrate that technique will indicate the student's level of understanding.  No letter grade will be assigned, but if additional help is needed, I will reach out to the student individually.
