US Grade Preschool - Pre-Kindergarten
In this ongoing class, children can practice their pre-writing skills by using different worksheets each week. We will be connecting dots, tracing circles and other shapes, zig zags, straight lines, loops, waves and other fun patterns and activities that will help our early writers gain the skills they need to succeed. There are no prerequisites to this class and can join in at any time. ---------------------------------------------------------------- This class will help children improve and fine tune their hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, visual perception, pencil grasp, hand and finger strength and object manipulation skills, that will give them the ability to hold and move a pencil smoothly and effectively. Parents will be provided a downloadable PDF that they can print before the class starts. These worksheets include pattern tracing, coloring and connect-the-dots activities. Children will be able to practice on the worksheets, while I am explaining and showing them on the screen the exact movements they need to do. Once they are done with the exercise, students will hold up their work in front of the camera for me to see. In each session I will demonstrate the proper way to hold a pencil and the movements needed for writing. ================== This class is great for homeschooling or after school practice! ================= My goal is to show children that writing can be fun. We will start each class with a warm-up exercise that will not only help to prepare the little fingers for writing but also a great icebreaker that everybody will enjoy. I am passionate about teaching, and I love to encourage my students to become independent and self-motivated people who enjoy learning while having fun.
