Description

Class Experience

During this loop class children will learn their letters and sounds, numbers to 10, counting, shapes and colours and Early Reading of CVC words and common words.

Each session we will cover the following;
Singing hello to all learners and welcoming new learners.
Playing a warm up game or singing a nursery rhyme.
Learning a new letter and listening to it's sound. Singing a corresponding song.
Learning a new number, shape or colour.
Reading a new word/ practising blending words together.

Students should have learned the alphabet letters and sounds, shapes, colours, numbers to 10 and have a basic knowledge of reading over the 8 weeks.

Children are welcome to complete the given materials in their own time or practise letters on paper. This, however, is not essential.

Lesson material will be on screen and some may be sent out after class. Children may complete the pages in their own time.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
