In this life skills one time class you will learn what you will need to know before your new puppy/dog comes home. Learn what to do the first day and week. Topics covered: How to choose a dog, train a dog, prepare for a dog.
Class experience
Students will learn what they will need to do to their house or apartment before puppy or the new dog arrives. Students will learn good questions to ask the breeder or rescue group the day of picking up the new puppy or dog. Learners will be given a potty schedule they can use and implement the moment they have their new dog or puppy. I have had numerous dogs in my life from puppy age to very old aged dogs. I have taught my own three children basic training commands for our dogs and how to care for them. I have taken my chocolate lab to the MSPCA for nose search training and advanced dog training. I recently brought home a new puppy.

Bring to class any and all toys, feeding bowls, and collars you have so far for your new pet. You will have ideas on what you will need to get your new dog or puppy once class is over. You can bring with you to class your new collar or harness to show.
