In this one time class, learners will learn and review a new set of sight words and practice writing skills.
Class experience
Sight words are known as high frequency words that are learned by memorization and understanding, as many of them cannot be sounded out. These words are very important for learners to be familiar with as they appear most frequently in reading and writing. In this one time class, learners will learn sight words following the Dolch pre-primer sight words which includes 40 words, to prepare for kindergarten. Learners who need a refresher of these sight words will also benefit from this course...
Learners will practice repeating sight words, as well as identifying them and writing them.
A worksheet will be provided before class. The worksheet may include some coloring. A crayon, marker or pencil is also needed for writing. *Please provide assistance to your child if needed.*
