In Pre-Phonics Fun Club learners will work on letter recognition, listening skills, sequencing skills, sound production skills, syllable awareness skills, rhyming skills, initial and final sounds, and more. Pre-scholars will be playing listening games: Sound Games (No letter symbols). Learners will work on filtering speech sounds from other unrelated environmental sounds. Sound production games: Pre-scholars will work to discriminate between various sounds, they will learn to reproduce...
At Future Scholars’ Academy, we hope that by offering the Pre-Phonics Fun Club we can further enrich your learner’s phonemic awareness and help learners become Kindergarten ready.
Mrs. Alejandra is a passionate, creative, and enthusiastic teacher with 15 years of experience in early primary education, including experience teaching children with special needs. She is a bilingual instruction (native English/Spanish) that places a special focus on speech giving learners with speech delays strategies. She holds a Master's in Education along with an MBA.
Pre-scholars should have these resources available if possible: uppercase letter tiles or letter cards, playdough, notepad, pencil. Some of these resources could change throughout the lessons or be adjusted according to the materials learners have available.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
