Description
Class Experience
Students will improve their knowledge of Algebra and utilize their skills to think critically as problem solvers.
I will give students practice to complete each week in Delta Math and other resources. In addition, I will make myself available for assistance by email at any time during the course.
Students will need a pencil/pen, paper, and calculator (TI-84 or 84 is preferred). For iPhone users, the calculate84 app is free and is nearly identical to the ti-84 calculator.
Progress will be measured through formal and informal formative and summative assessments.
3 hours 45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
Students will be using common math websites used in the classroom, such as: http://www.deltamath.com-An account will need to be created, 100% free, homework assignments will be on this resource http://www.desmos.com-Students will join my class here, an account will be created, this will be used for graphing activities http://www.kahoot.com-Some formative assessments will be given here, students do not need to create an account http://www.quizlet.com-Some formative assessments will be given here, students do not need to create an account
