The book we're reading discusses the topic of identifying and managing strong emotions. All our teachers are trained to discuss the idea of identifying strong emotions with the end goal of students learning strategies to manage strong emotions. The movement activities will consist of stretching, dancing, jumping, spinning, clapping, snapping, and some simple yoga poses (i.e. tree and cat poses). Students should have enough open space to complete these movement activities. Students should have on comfortable clothes and shoes whenever possible.
