In this one- time course, students will begin their experience with measurement, both through objects and language.

This class will allow younger students to experience beginning measurement. We will actively work together to use objects to measure distance and vocabulary to compare items. Because of the learning needs of younger learners, the lesson will be highly interactive and adjusted throughout the lesson to maintain the attention spans of the students. Each part of the lesson will be short in length in order to keep students engaged and interested. It will be a positive environment in which we will all celebrate each other's successes!
Learning Goals
The learner will be able to measure distance using common objects and compare size using words such as tall, taller, tallest, etc.
