Class Experience

US Grade Preschool - Kindergarten
In class, students will review and learn skills and concepts necessary for pre-k through Kindergarten. We will begin each class with a "Hello" song. Next, we will take a few minutes to get to know each other. We will have circle time where I review the calendar and teach a different letter/sound, shape, color, and number. We will read a new story each class, that will be related to the letter that was taught. After we get through the alphabet, students will have the opportunity to vote on a variety of books. Writing of the letter will be demonstrated and students will practice writing the letter in their notebooks. Students will also draw pictures of one or more objects that begin with the letter of the day. We will practice early math skills including number recognition and counting. We will also practice identifying counting, addition, subtraction, and more based on the curriculum. Students will learn topics in science, social studies, and life skills. We will also work on grammar and speaking. We will also have occasional songs, dance/movement, show and tell, and social time. Since the class is ongoing, we will start with pre-k curriculum and move on to the Kindergarten curriculum. Each student will have access to virtual books and their very own Brainzy account where they can do homework and play games outside of class time. We will sometimes play educational games in class, and have virtual field trips too!!! I will sing "Happy Birthday" to your student/s on birthdays and talk about/have some activity on the holidays that you celebrate. We will use the whiteboard, videos, games, and more to learn in a fun, calm environment. We are going to have so much fun!!!!

No worries if you do not start on the "starting date". You can join anytime and we can discuss having a private to get your student caught up!!!! It is o.k. if you can't make the 5 days.....refunds will be given for the days you miss.

Here is a list of example dates with topics based on a 1 time/week class. If you need the class more than once a week please let me know and I'll be happy to add a new listing.

I have been teaching and tutoring for over 13 years, in the school setting and online. I have worked as a pre-school teacher in a private learning center, an elementary/middle school math/reading tutor online, and in the school. I have also taught with companies like Tutor.com, VIPKID, Qkids, Magic Ears, EF, Itutorgroup, wyzant, Kidpass, Testingmom and more, over the years. I want to create an educational and pressure-free environment, where students ALL OVER THE WORLD can enjoy learning!!! I teach all year long and even during most holidays.

I have a Bachelors degree in Psychology and a Master's of Social Work. I also have TESOL and TEFL: TEYL certifications. I am currently working towards my teaching license/ certification too. I am very patient and can guide students in their educational journey, every step of the way. I love to teach because I love to empower students and encourage them to take control of their futures. Beyond math and reading, I also enjoy teaching story improv, show and tell, how to start an online reselling business, personalized homework help, storytime, ESL, full curriculum, homeschool, private tutoring and more. I love learning new things about different cultures and hope to teach students from all over the world.
