In this three week on going class students will be introduced to basic shapes and numbers 1-10 with magnetic tiles! In the first lesson we will cover a square and rectangle with numbers 1-10, sing counting songs and of course get a chance to play with our magnetic tiles! Let’s count the shapes- how many magnetic tiles makes up this rectangle? Can multiple small squares make a really big square? In the second class we will learn about triangles and circles and continue to learn about numbers 1-10. We will have “show and tell” and shape building at the end of class. In the third lesson we will talk more about addition and subtraction using the magnetic tiles to illustrate the new concepts! Each student will have a chance to connect with the teacher and ask questions. Students will have a chance to play and learn in a group setting with other children whilst playing and using their imagination! I am a bright and energetic teacher!
Learning Goals
Students will be introduced to shapes (circles, squares, triangles, rectangles) , numbers 1-10 and basic addition and subtraction. Students will get to play and explore the new concepts with their magnetic tiles!
