During live video sessions we will work to: - Practice letter sounds - Practice Phonics - Explore vowel word families - Read sight words and Emergent Reader Books Each day students will spend time on specific word families commonly used phonetics, sight words, spelling and reading skills: Week of 3/13 Alphabet Chant, Vowel Word Family 'at,' Phonics (at-bat, cat, fat, hat, mat, pat, rat, sat), Sight Words (they, where, one) Reading 'Zac the Rat,' Journal Week of 3/20 -Alphabet Chant, Vowel...
Students will improve their understanding of vowel sounds and how to use various reading strategies to determine whether or not words are using the long or short vowel sounds.
