Class Experience

Students will improve and gain new math skills.
Students will feel more comfortable and confident with their math skills.
I have nine years of teaching experience. I have worked with students from preschool to 12th grade. I am currently homeschooling my 5-year-old daughter, with curriculum that I have created as well as supplemental curriculum. I have taken training classes on teaching Montessori, and I keep myself educated and up-to-date with teaching methods and practices by reading published articles, taking professional development courses, and reading through new state teaching standards. I also earned my B.A. in Child, Adolescent, and Family Studies, where I studied the impact families have on children and how children learn as infants through adolescent years and how they carry that into adulthood and into their own families. Such training and knowledge has equipped me with the tools necessary to be the teacher I am today.
Weekly worksheet Paper or white board Pencil or writing utensil Small counting objects (beans, small toys, cereal, Unifix Cubes, marbles, or anything small) **If manipulatives or worksheets are unavailable to you, that's okay! I'll be showing everything on my screen for students to see.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
25 minutes per week in class, and no time outside of class.
