It's a circle time party in this ongoing class! Each day will be full of songs, discussions, activities, and games. We will begin each day with the Days of the Week, and Months of the Year song. We will discuss the calendar, and the weather that day. Since everyone will be in a different location, this gives us a perfect opportunity to discuss different learner's hometown weather. Then each learner will chart their own hometown's weather on an original printable. This is a condensed version...
Students will learn kindergarten readiness skills and concepts, such as letter recognition, letter sounds, basic reading and writing skills, routines, weather, and pre-k math concepts. Students will experience engaging science lessons geared to their age. Students will practice speaking skills with a weekly themed Show and Tell.
There is not homework, but I would encourage fun activities to reinforce the concepts learned each week. Throughout the week, have your learner find the letter we are studying around the house, in books, etc. Have them locate items around the house that begin with the letter we are studying, or find our shape of the week.
Crayons, and the weekly hand-out packet. The packet will be posted each Sunday evening by 6 PM CST for the upcoming week.
The learner is informally assessed.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
