Description
Class Experience
The students will improve pre-academic skills of reading, writing and mathematics through letter and sound recognition, number and number sense, patterns and shape recognition. The students will improve social emotional skills through show and tell, turn taking, speaking and listening. The students will improve fine motor skills through improving pincer grasp, coloring, cutting and eye-hand coordination. The students will be introduced to days of the week, months of the year and different types of weather. The students will improve writing skills by practicing handwriting and letter/number formation.
I am a Washington State certified teacher. I have been a kindergarten and special education preschool teacher. Preschool is my passion! From stories, to sensory tables, to art projects, songs, snacks, paint and glitter. I love teaching preschool and the creativity it brings. This fall I will also begin a Master's in Literacy program!
There will be optional bonus worksheets for students to continue practicing skills outside of class (10-15 minutes).
By Sunday evening at 5pm EST (for the upcoming week of class) needed supplies and class printable will be posted and available in the classroom.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
2 hours 30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Students may need help muting and unmuting. Students need to be supervised while they use scissors.
