🍎Welcome! Class begins August 21, 2023 ~ This is an ongoing class, so your learner can join right in any week! This class is perfect for students in preschool, pre-k, early kindergarten, homeschool, ESL, or for anyone who needs extra practice or wants to be ready for kindergarten. This class is young learner and ESL friendly. My goal is to encourage each learner, make learning fun and help each learner reach their goals with confidence, while meeting them where they are in their learning journey. Providing foundational skills in the early years supports long-term achievement. My goal is to teach these foundational skills in a fun, engaging way, making learning a positive experience for every student.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and English/Language Arts. I have several years of experience teaching pre-k and kindergarten readiness as well as over 20 years of teaching, tutoring and classroom experience from preschool through 12th grade, all subjects and all learning levels. I also have experience as a homeschool co-op teacher and mom. I absolutely love teaching. Here are some of my qualifications: - Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and English/Language Arts - Several years of full-time classroom experience - 3 years of online teaching and tutoring experience - Current 120 hour TESOL certification / ESL teaching I believe that learning should be fun, engaging, creative and rewarding. I love to encourage my students and cheer them on throughout their learning journeys.
- Paper - Pencil - Crayons or colored pencils - Glue stick - Show and tell item (favorite toy, book, craft or a picture they have colored) - Any worksheets or coloring sheets needed will be sent to you prior to the first lesson of each week. If you do not have access to a printer or prefer to use plain paper or dry-erase whiteboard, that is fine, too.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
2 hours 30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
