Basic Algebra or 8th Grade Level Math.

Why This Class/Class Description:
- This is a class on pre calculus/calculus track which is typically covered in rigorous 9th , 10th, 11th, and 12th grade Math programs.  Algebra is  a prerequisite for this class.
This is part 1 of a 6 part series that covers Pre Calculus, Differential Calculus, and Integral Calculus.

Class Structure:
4 Weeks
Homework is checked and graded.  Feedback is provided. 
Cumulative Test at the end of each module.  Test graded and feedback provided.
Students may choose to be graded and be issued a certificate of completion at the end of the course.

1. Textbook "Understanding Basic Calculus" By SK Chung available online (free/online) OR any Calculus Book will do.
2. All classes are recorded are available after each meeting.
3. Class white board discussions are captured in pdf files and made available for students afterwards.

Teaching each topic listed in the syllabus goes through these 3 steps (What to expect each week)
- Day 1: Explain a major topic from the syllabus side by side with helper examples to help demonstrate the concepts.
- Day 2: Summarize prior day topic and show types of questions and approach/steps for solving them + in class practice.
- Day 3: In Class Competition (Jeopardy style) + Prizes to winners.
         Competition performance counts as that of a quiz with grades being assigned to students according to their scores.
