Pre-Cal: Just Algebra + Trigonometry(Part 1)

I will show students how to do an exercise on the white board. They will learn  by actually doing example exercises during class. I will repeat with another exercise and will explain as many times as needed until the students are ready to do the exercises by themselves. Once started, I will check their answers for accuracy and follow up with any necessary explanations. I encourage all participants to try as many exercises as possible. I follow up the class with an upload of homework with the solutions.

Course breakdown:    Note: Instructor reserves to change or modify content.

Week 1: Review of Factoring.( A review of basic factoring, GCF, difference of perfect squares, trinomial factoring)
Week 2:  Properties of Logarithms.( The addition property, division property, power property, exponent property)
Week 3: Logarithmic to exponential conversions, solving logarithmic equations.
Week 4: Solving exponential equations, including the natural logarithm.
Week 5: Right Triangle Trigonometry.
Week 6: Graph of Sine and Cosine.
Week 7: Introduction to the unit circle.
Week 8: Relationship between the graphs of sine ,cosine and tangent and the unit circle.
Week 9: Applications of Trig. Functions.

Note: This is by no means a full pre-calculus course, it is an introduction and it exposes the student to topics that usually gives them trouble.
