🤩🤩🤩🤩 Fall Enrollment is open!🤩🤩🤩🤩 📝 Game-Based Assignments! This is a continuing pre-algebra class specially tailored to support students facing challenges with pre-algebra concepts and procedures. My primary focus is to cultivate a solid foundation in mathematics and pre-algebra topics through an enjoyable and engaging approach. Every session will delve into pre-algebra subjects while also revisiting fundamental arithmetic principles to ensure all students stay on track. Our ultimate objective is to foster students' mathematical abilities within a nurturing and encouraging environment. To achieve this, we employ SPED techniques such as guided practice, modeling, large presenting prints, diverse learning demonstrations, and clear, straightforward instructions. Current Learning Plan: ⛱️😎🌅Summer session schedule Week of 7/29 Solving Equations Week of 8/05 Solving multi-step equations Week of 8/12 Comparing Fractions Week of 8/19 Adding and subtracting fractions with unlike denominators Week of 8/26 Multiplying and Dividing fractions 🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎 What makes this class different? Over the years, I have worked with hundreds of students, and I am aware that those who struggle with mathematical ideas require more specialized assistance. I considered what would make an online learning environment secure, encouraging, and effective when creating this course. Due to anxiety or learned helplessness, a lack of self-confidence, and shyness, large classrooms for kids who have a history of math difficulties are not always successful. Students are more likely to be passive learners and frequently fall behind. In order to ensure that each student has an opportunity to contribute to their learning experiences, I have limited the size of this session to a maximum of seven students. In addition, I provide multiple opportunities for students to master a skill. Students have the option to join Google Classrooms, where they have access to modules and personalized support videos to aid homework exercises. What is game-based learning? The tactics, guidelines, and social interactions of playing a game are brought into the classroom through game-based learning. The game-based learning approach enables teachers to focus on activities that will help students apply concepts in real-world settings. More immersive and team-based learning possibilities may result from this. This class incorporates the latest educational technologies to provide enjoyable learning experiences. TOPICS COVERED IN CLASS: 1. Integers 2. Ratios 3. Unit rate and percentages 4. Order of operations, 5. Algebraic expressions, 6. One- and two-step equations 7. proportions 8. Probability 9. Adding and subtracting positive and negative numbers 10. Multiplying positive and negative numbers 11. Exponents 12. solving equations with variables Class Outline: 1. Fluency exercise (5 min)- 2.
