This 8-session Pre-Algebra Review/Algebra 1 Prep Course is designed for students who have completed Pre-Algebra and want to review their Pre-Algebra skills before the end of the school year or for students who want to strengthen their skills before starting Algebra 1. This is not an introductory course—students should already be familiar with basic pre-algebra concepts and be ready to build confidence in key Algebra 1 topics. Through structured lessons, guided practice, and real-world applications, students will develop a strong foundation in solving equations, graphing, inequalities, functions, and problem-solving techniques. This course follows an "I Do, We Do, You Do" teaching model: ✅ I Do – I introduce the topic, explain concepts clearly, and model step-by-step solutions. ✅ We Do – Students practice with guided problems, ask questions, and build understanding through discussion. ✅ You Do – Students work independently on problems to reinforce skills, with feedback and support as needed. By the end of the course, students will be well-prepared and confident to begin Algebra 1!
Learning Goals
Students will review pre-algebra skills to develop a strong algebra 1 foundation.
Through guided practice and real-world applications, students will learn to analyze problems apply algebraic reasoning to find solutions effectively.
