Pre-Algebra Review: Get Ready for Algebra 1!

In this ongoing course, students will review important topics covered in Pre-Algebra. The class is most useful for students who have completed Pre-Algebra and are seeking review to increase success in their current or future courses.

This ongoing course will cover important topics in Pre-Algebra. It will be most useful for students currently enrolled or about to enroll in Algebra I that would like the opportunity to review topics from Pre-Algebra, to aid in their success in Algebra I.

As these topics will be review for the student enrolled, students may join at any time. The course will begin with topic one listed below, and each next topic on the list will be the topic of the next consecutive class. For example, if your student joins us in the week of September thirtieth, the student can expect to review ratios and rates on their first day.

After we reach week seventeen of the class and cover systems of equations, we will begin the list of topics again and review all topics over. Students are welcome to remain enrolled to review these important topics again, as well as to catch the topics they may have missed the first time around.

Week of January 27: Ratios and Rates
Week of February 3: Percentages
Week of February 10: Exponents
Week of February 17: Variables and Expressions
Week of February 24: No Class
Week of March 3: One and Two-Step Equations and Inequalities
Week of March 10: Word Problems
Week of March 17: Proportions
Week of March 24: Multi-Step Equations and Inequalities
Week of March 31: Roots and Exponents
Week of April 7: Scientific Notation
Week of April 14: Two-Variable Equations
Week of April 21: Functions and Linear Models
Week of April 28: Systems of Equations
