This is a 'quick' class which is designed to be a snapshot of an essential mathematical topic. A 'quick' class is designed for learners who are looking for initial exposure, a quick review, or simply who demonstrate a curiosity for skill building! In this 'quick' class, participants will learn about terms in Pre-Algebra/Algebra. This is truly a fundamental concept in advanced math. While this course is only introductory in nature, learners will leave the class being able to identify like and unlike terms, and how to differentiate between them!
Learning Goals
Students will be able to define and identify a term in an algebraic expression. Students will be able to identify like and unlike terms and justify answers using mathematical reasoning.

Hello, Families and Learners! I am excited to plan a full range of classes for all ages of learners! I am able to teach classes all the way from phonics to Algebra! Some of my favorite interests are strange history, fantasy fiction, and anything science and math related. In addition to STEM topics, I really love the written language and look forward to developing writing classes!
I am a veteran teacher of 14 years. I have taught 5/6th grade, with the latter half of my career focusing on math at the middle school level.
