Description

Class Experience

Students will learn Pre-Algebra in this 16 week course. This course is great for those who are getting ready to go into Algebra 1 or Algebra Foundations. The following topics will be covered:

Week #1 - Factors and multiples
Week #2 - Patterns
Week #3 - Ratios and rates
Week #4 - Percentages
Week #5 - Exponents intro and order of operations
Week #6 - Variables & expressions
Week #7 - Equations & inequalities introduction
Week #8 - Percent & rational number word problems
Week #9 - Proportional...

I have experience teaching math for over a year on Outschool and tutoring for a few years outside of Outschool.

Homework will be provided weekly.

Pencil, Paper, and Scientific Calculator.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:Khan Academy

55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.

This class uses Khan Academy which is a free online website.
