Class Experience

US Grade 6 - 8
In this Pre-Algebra Full Curriculum course is a comprehensive, year-long program designed to build a strong mathematical foundation for middle school students. This course is meticulously crafted to support diverse learning needs, ensuring every student, can grasp complex concepts with confidence.

What Will Be Taught?
Students will explore essential Pre-Algebra concepts that lay the groundwork for success in higher-level math courses. They will learn about integers, fractions, decimals, ratios, proportions, percent, equations, inequalities, and functions. Additionally, the course covers topics such as exponents, square roots, the Pythagorean theorem, and introductory geometry, including angles, area, and volume. By the end of the course, students will have a deep understanding of Pre-Algebra concepts and be well-prepared for Algebra 1.

Topics Covered
The course is divided into manageable units, each focusing on a specific set of skills. Units are designed to build upon one another, reinforcing previous knowledge while introducing new concepts. The curriculum includes:

Class Structured
The course follows a blend of direct instruction, guided practice, and independent learning. Each week, students will participate in interactive lessons that include problem-solving exercises. Quizzes and Unit tests ensure students master each topic before moving forward.

Teaching Style
My teaching style is student-centered and highly interactive. I focus on making math relatable and engaging by integrating visual supports, and technology into lessons.

Interaction and Support
Students in this course will have regular opportunities to interact with me through live sessions. One-on-one tutoring can be provided at an additional cost. I am committed to providing personalized feedback and support, ensuring that each student receives the guidance they need to succeed. Parents are encouraged to stay involved through regular progress updates and are welcome to reach out with any concerns or questions.

This Pre-Algebra course offers a rich, supportive environment where students can develop a love for math and gain the skills necessary for future academic success.

Learning Goals

Students will develop a strong understanding of key Pre-Algebra topics, including integers, fractions, decimals, ratios, equations, and basic geometry, enabling them to solve complex problems with confidence and accuracy.
