In this one-time class, we will review variables and expressions. We will work on evaluating expressions, including the distributive property, simplification, and substitution. Each property and rule will be explained in different ways with example problems. We will then work problems together to ensure the students are confident with the subjects. I encourage interaction in my class, so I will ask students to participate and answer questions when working problems together. This will build confidence and increase understanding of the material.
