In this Pre-Algebra class, students will learn about square roots, exponents, order of operations, properties of numbers, scientific notation and conversion.

1 hour per week. After each class, review questions will be assigned either in paper form, or Kahoots. The review will be over information covered in class and past classes and will consists of 5 to 10 questions.Assessment
The assessments offered are at the end of each Unit are take-home assessments and are required for all students. These assessments will help gauge if the student needs additional instruction of a particular math concept that was taught.Grading

Beginner - Intermediate Level
In this class, the students will review, learn, and problem solve with math skills that they will utilize in Pre-Algebra. The class will begin with review exercises, which will be checked at the beginning of the class. The teacher will then introduce the new material, through notes, slides, and problems worked on a document camera. The teacher will present the new material, then work with the students collaboratively on the problems, with the end goal having the students work the problems independently. A note-taking sheet will be provided for the students to complete during class. This is the second of four sections of the Pre-Algebra concept class. This is a class focused on teaching the students the math's concepts that will be utilized in Pre-Algebra. This is a hands-on, interactive, auditory and visual class. Students must know basic calculation skills.
