In an event that their question cannot be answered, the parent will need to message the teacher and teacher will refund the session fee in full. I hope to encourage a positive math experience, and help provide examples where such math is applied in everyday life.
I helped design storm water plans, site development plans, road and trail construction plans, subdivisions, and did GIS mapping in the course of my work as a civil engineering designer. I've homeschooled my 4 kids over the last 16 years, and taught on Outschool for over a year. I've also taught in homeschool groups topics such as literature, writing, 3D design and printing, life skills, and art over the last 12 years. My teaching style is interactive, and I love project based learning. Thank you for stopping by!
Students will be encouraged to complete their own work, with my assistance.
Paper, pencil, calculator, and graph paper when necessary.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Hello Parents! My name is Christine and I have a background in Civil Engineering design. I used Algebra and Trigonometry every day in my work, and I hope to be an encouragement to my students. I see math as an integral part of the design process, enabling society to create beautiful and useful structures, and bring data that that makes lives better. I bring that enthusiasm to algebraic concepts in hopes to spark your student's own passion for STEM.
Students will need a paper and pencil to write out the problems on their own, as well as graph paper as needed for coordinate plane work.
