This class is part of a series of classes meant to provide opportunities for students to review and practice math concepts typically taught in grades 6-8. The focus of this class is algebraic equations. Below is a list of concepts that we will be covering during this course. •Day One: Identifying Solutions to Variable Equations and Writing Variable Equations •Day Two: Solving One-Step Variable Equations with Whole Numbers •Day Three: Solving One-Step Variable Equations with Decimals and Fractions •Day Four: One-Step Variable Equation Word Problems •Day Five: Solving Two-Step Variable Equations •Day Six: Solving Two-Step Variable Equations with Simplifying and Two-Step Variable Equation Word Problems •Day Seven: Solving Equations with Variables on Both Sides •Day Eight: Solving Variable Equations Mixed Review and Finding the Number of Solutions *Please note, this class meets on a set schedule. Hello! I have been teaching and working in the public school setting for the past nineteen years, and tutoring privately for the past ten years. I have worked with students ranging from kindergarten to eighth grade in math, reading, writing mechanics, American History, and beginning Spanish. I especially enjoy working with students in small groups or individually, and developed skills as an online educator when schools had to close for the pandemic. I have continued to work online with learners today, and truly enjoy it. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy watching television and movies, and traveling with my family.Reviews
