Intermediate Level
This class is a great introduction or review of linear equations. Learners will cover multiple topics in graphing and writing linear equations, as well as determining the y-intercept and slope. There will also be a lesson on identifying solutions. There is at least one new topic introduced each week. After completing the lesson, students will complete practice questions in Jamboard, Google Forms, and Google Slides. There will also be question/answer discussions so that students can share their knowledge for a better understanding of the topic. As students complete and post their work, the teacher will supply feedback within 24-28 hours, so that the student receives timely feedback. This is a truly comprehensive course covering multiple pre-algebra topics needed to ensure success in future math classes. This self-paced class allows students to work at their comfort level. There is no pre-requisite knowledge required, but the topics build on each other. Fortunately, the course is broken into parts so that students find the material manageable. It will take approximately 1-3 hours to complete each lesson.
Learning Goals
The student will be able to graph, write and identify solutions to linear equations.
