In this 3-week class, we will be using a single photograph to help build English skills in a variety of ways.
Class experience
Interacting with images is a wonderful way to practice and improve English skills! This class uses a single real-life photograph as the starting point for many different literacy activities, and will include direct instruction as well as student participation. In Week 1, we will focus on what is happening in the picture. We will build vocabulary by describing and categorizing what we see. Next, we will practice writing sentences using related facts and opinions. In Week 2, we will imagine...
Students will build English vocabulary, state facts and opinions, practice writing sentences in present/past/future tenses, sequencing, storytelling, and speaking aloud.
- Master's Degree in English as a Second Language - State Certification as an ESOL instructor for all grades - Several years of experience as a dedicated teacher of English Language Learners
Homework Offered
