Using live birds, this one-time class teaches young learners the basics about chickens: where they come from, what parts they have, what they eat, what they can do. Class is highly interactive with lots of questions and answers. Students will also draw a chicken using simple geometric shapes. Class is structured as follows: Student introductions Parts of a chicken with live bird Brief slide show with chicken information Guided, step-by-step drawing time This class is seasonal, and will only run when live birds are available! Learning Goals
Students will learn basic facts about chickens. Students will also review circle and triangle shapes as they draw a chicken of their own.
