Class Experience

She-Ra and the Princesses of Power is one of the most amazing shows out there currently. It has an interesting storyline, lovable characters who grow and change, and it teaches children about the power of friendship and why it’s important to stay true to yourself. I started watching it on a whim and instantly fell in love with the world within the show. I’ll confess, I watched every episode in just a few days!

I know there’s lots of students out there who are big fans as well, and this club is the perfect space for those students to meet up with fellow fans, make some friends, and express their love of the show. Each week, we’ll have a discussion about the series and/or do a She-Ra themed activity like a craft or trivia! This will be a safe space for all who choose to join. I work hard to ensure that my classroom environment is positive and uplifting, so students can feel like they’re free to be themselves.

Please note: This class is not directly affiliated with Netflix or the creators of She-Ra and the Princesses of Power

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! I'm Ms. Lindsay. I teach classes on a variety of topics, including video games, anime, baking, crafts, and more! These are my personal interests and hobbies that I spend a ton of time learning about myself, and I'm excited that I have the opportunity to share my love of these topics with others.

In 2017, I graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, and my focuses were art and business. I have experience working with young children through leading storytime/arts & crafts at my local library, as well as tutoring students in English and Reading. I have also worked with foreign students who speak different languages to strengthen their pronunciation and conversational skills.

When it comes to my teaching style, I believe it’s important to have fun in class, and focus on students' interests to keep them engaged in their education. I also work hard to foster a positive and uplifting classroom environment, to boost confidence and encourage students to be proud of who they are! Ultimately, students should look forward to having class, instead of feeling like it's boring or something that they're required to do.

I'm looking forward to meeting all of those awesome learners out there. See you in class!
