- Introducing the types of paragraphs - Characteristics and features of each type of paragraph - Examples and analysis of well-crafted paragraphs from various genres - Practice exercises to identify and differentiate between different types of paragraphs

Session 2: Expository Paragraph
- Structure and organization of expository paragraphs - Strategies for presenting factual information and concepts effectively - Incorporating evidence and examples to support assertions - Practice writing expository paragraphs on various topics
 Week 3
Lesson 3
Session 3: Persuasive Paragraph
- Understanding the elements of persuasion in writing - Crafting strong arguments and supporting them with evidence - Addressing counterarguments effectively - Using rhetorical devices to enhance persuasion - Practice writing persuasive paragraphs on chosen topic

Session 4: Narrative Paragraph

Session 5: Descriptive Paragraph
- Techniques for creating imagery through descriptive language - Using the five senses to evoke sensory experiences - Organizing descriptive details effectively - Practice writing descriptive paragraphs about various subjects and settings
Students will learn how to structure various types of paragraphs with:
-a topic sentence that explains what the paragraph is about.
-supporting sentences meant for development and elaborating on the topic with more detail.
-conclusion sentence that summarizes the topic.

Students will understand the difference between different types of paragraphs. The paragraphs range from expository, persuasive, narrative, and descriptive.

Objectives: 
- Understand the fundamental types of paragraphs and their purposes in writing.
-  Develop the ability to write clear and informative expository paragraphs.
- Learn how to construct persuasive paragraphs that influence the reader's opinion or behavior.
- Develop skills in writing narrative paragraphs that captivate readers and convey stories effectively.
- Refine the ability to write descriptive paragraphs that vividly portray subjects and environments.
Professional Educator License
Certified in Elementary Education 1-6th for Literacy, Science, Math, Social Studies, and History.
-Students are welcome to write their paragraphs on the virtual google classroom notebook, provided by Mwalimu Saarah.
OR 
-Students have the option to bring their own notebook and pencil to write in.
