Class experience
Students will follow along, step by step, as we paint (in acrylic) this beautiful Potter-inspired castle landscape. We will have fun talking Potter and answering trivia, too! Even beginners to acrylic painting can join in! I will provide acrylic painting tips and tricks upon enrollment, as well as a supplies list. ***PLEASE NOTE*** With painting classes, I always advise a little wiggle room on time. Students will have a chance to create a multi- layer painting in acrylic paint, gaining painting and artistic skills in the process.
I have a fine arts degree from the Academy of Art University, and am a Grumbacher certified fine arts instructor. Also, I am a huge Potter fan!
2 files available upon enrollment- A canvas or canvas/multimedia paper, any size (I recommend either 9x12 or 11x14) - paintbrushes - acrylic paint (the supplies list includes just the basic, primary set. Students can either get these and mix their own colors, or just purchase the colors they'd like already ready to go. For reference, I used acrylic craft paints in: black, cobalt blue, turquoise, pale daffodil, parakeet, and white. They were very inexpensive. Students can use different background colors, too, if they wish! Black, white and/or light yellow will be necessary for the castle and stars.) - water cup, paper towels, palette/paper plate
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
